In Maissau, surrounded by the hills of the Weinviertel, Josef Schmid opened a pastry and gingerbread shop in 1913.
Due to the high quality of the craftsmanship, the confectionery celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. We have consciously adopted this knowledge, the traditional recipes and processing methods in order to create new products of the highest quality and to continue writing the history of the Schmid company.
We only use the best regional ingredients for our biscuits, filled waffles and tea biscuits. In the city, Čapljina, there is our highly modern production facility, where we continue the baking tradition of the Schmid confectionery.
